Pack formats, and what each one costs

The pack is not packaging. It is the interface between the towel and the person who has to use it at speed.

Four formats, four trade-offs

Flat pack is the cheapest to fill and the slowest to dispense. Roll pack suits a cart or a wall dispenser and costs more film per towel. A kit costs the most per unit and sells at the highest price. Compressed formats reduce freight dramatically but add a conversion step.

None of these is better in general. Each is better for a particular round of work.

Where the hidden cost sits

Print is the item most often underestimated: it carries a plate or cylinder cost, a minimum run, and a language decision that is expensive to reverse.

Freight is the second: reducing pack volume by a few percent changes how many cartons fit a pallet, which changes the landed cost without changing the towel at all.

A target weight, a pack format, a market and an annual volume is enough to start. A sample of what you use today is better.
