Roll width
For a converter, roll width decides how many finished pieces fit across the web and how much trim is wasted. A width that does not divide cleanly into the finished item is a permanent, silent cost on every metre.
It is also a commitment: jumbo rolls are produced to order in a fixed width, so a change late in a programme usually means a new production run rather than a quick adjustment.
