Compressed towels
A spunlace towel compressed into a coin or tablet for travel kits, amenity sets and retail packs.
QC-C
Small in the bag, full size in the hand
Compression solves a volume problem, and volume is what a travel kit is short of. The specification question is what the sheet does when it is wetted: how quickly it opens, whether it opens evenly, and whether it can be used without unfolding it by hand.
Because the compressed unit is small, the pack around it carries most of the branding, which makes artwork and language decisions proportionally more important than on a plain towel.
Where it is used
- Travel and amenity kits
- Hotel welcome sets and retail travel packs
- Promotional and gift-with-purchase items
- Emergency and outdoor kits
Compression ratio and expansion behaviour are set together. Approve an expanded sample, not only the compressed unit.
Specification sheet
- Fibre blend
- The blend decides how the compressed unit behaves in water: cellulose-heavy opens faster, synthetic-heavy holds shape longer.
- Confirmed at quotation
- Expanded size
- Specified as the size after expansion, because that is what the user holds. The compressed diameter is a consequence.
- Confirmed at quotation
- Packing
- Single unit in printed film, several units in a kit, or bulk in a carton for a converter.
- Confirmed at quotation
Every figure in a quotation is measured on the material you will receive. We do not publish indicative numbers as if they were guarantees.
Questions buyers ask
Does compression reduce the strength of the towel?
Compression changes the structure, so the expanded sheet is not identical to the flat web it came from. Whether that matters depends on the use: a face towel tolerates it, a towel that will be wrung may not. This is why we evaluate the expanded state, not the compressed unit.
