Gyms and studios
A gym does not evaluate a towel by hand feel. It evaluates by how many it gets through in a month and whether it survives the floor.
Fitness facilities buy on volume and predictability: the same towel, the same pack, arriving on a schedule, at a cost that can be budgeted per member per month. Softness matters less than consistency, because the towel is often used standing up, on equipment, in a hurry.
This is one of the few applications where a larger basis weight is usually the wrong answer. Extra thickness does not improve the job; it changes the carton count and the waste volume, and both are visible to the operator.
Common mistakes
- Over-specifying thickness for a task that needs one wipe
- Mixing formats across zones and losing count control
Other applications
Send us the specification you are working to.
A target weight, a pack format, a market and an annual volume is enough to start. A sample of what you use today is better.
