Questions buyers ask
Technical questions first, then commercial ones. If your question is not here, it is probably one we should answer in writing anyway.
Construction
How is spunlace different from spunbond or airlaid?
Spunbond extrudes continuous filaments and bonds them thermally; airlaid forms a web from short fibres with air and bonds it with latex or heat. Spunlace starts from staple fibre and bonds it with water. For a towel, the practical difference is drape and hand-feel: spunlace behaves closer to a woven towel, spunbond closer to a film.
Do you use a chemical binder?
No. The web is bonded by hydroentanglement alone, so there is no resin to cure and nothing to declare as an adhesive. Additives such as wetting agents are a separate decision and are declared when used.
Can basis weight be specified?
Yes, and it is the variable that most changes absorbency and cost. The exact figure is confirmed at quotation against the material being offered.
How is absorbency verified?
The test method is stated on the data sheet, so that you can compare our figure with your current supplier on the same basis. The ISO 9073 series is the usual reference for nonwoven test methods.
Quotation and sampling
What is the minimum order quantity?
It depends on construction, pack format and whether new print tooling is needed. Standard packs on an existing construction start lowest. We quote a minimum rather than publish a number that would be wrong for half our enquiries.
Can we get samples before ordering?
Yes. Usually one round for hand-feel and one for the pack. Sample cost and lead time are quoted with the project.
How long does a quotation take?
It depends on how many variables are still open. If you send a reference sample and a pack format, the quotation can be written directly; if the construction is still being designed, the sampling rounds come first.
What is the difference between OEM and private label here?
OEM means we produce against a construction that already exists. Private label means we develop the construction with you from the use case. The steps afterwards are identical.
Production and shipment
What is the lead time?
Counted from approval of artwork and sample, not from the enquiry. It is stated on the quotation, because material availability and pack format both move it.
Which markets do you ship to?
Japan and Korea are our primary export markets. Other destinations are quoted on the same terms; the export documents required differ by market, so tell us the destination in the first message.
Can you print our label and barcode?
We print the pack to your approved file. Label content, claims and barcode data remain your responsibility; we will tell you if a file is not reproducible at the size you have chosen.
