Nail and lash studios

A nail or lash studio uses a small towel at close range, often under a curing lamp, where loose fibre is immediately visible.

The working distance in a nail or lash studio is thirty centimetres. Fibre that would be invisible on a hotel towel is obvious on a hand towel under a lamp, and once it lands in gel or adhesive it is a rework, not a wipe.

That makes lint the primary criterion, ahead of absorbency, and it is a property of the web rather than of the finish. It is also the reason this application tends to be specified by sample on a dark surface.

Common mistakes

  • Choosing by GSM and discovering lint at the first set of nails
  • Using a face towel size that wastes half the sheet per client

Send us the specification you are working to.

A target weight, a pack format, a market and an annual volume is enough to start. A sample of what you use today is better.
