Fibre blend
The ratio of fibre types in the web, usually viscose and polyester.
Fibre blend
The blend is the single most consequential decision in a specification, because it sets wet strength, softness, cost and — increasingly — regulatory status. A cellulose-heavy web is softer and more absorbent; adding polyester improves wet tensile and dimensional stability.
Because the ratio is a number, it should be written as one. "Soft blend" on a data sheet tells a buyer nothing and tells a compliance team less.
