Care homes
In a care setting the towel is part of a routine performed by staff under time pressure, and the specification follows from that.
A care home buys towels for assisted washing, where the towel is used by a carer rather than by the resident. The relevant properties are wet strength, size for one-handed use, and consistency — the same towel every time, so the routine does not need re-learning.
Language on the pack matters here too, and more than in most channels: a pack that cannot be read at a glance by a new member of staff is a training cost, not a design choice.
Common mistakes
- Buying on unit price alone in a setting where a tear costs more
- Packing in a format that cannot be opened one-handed

Send us the specification you are working to.
A target weight, a pack format, a market and an annual volume is enough to start. A sample of what you use today is better.
