Dispersibility
The ability of a web to break apart in water, as distinct from biodegradability.
Dispersibility
Dispersibility is about physical breakdown in a drain or a sewer, and it is a different claim from biodegradability, which is about what happens to the material once it is in the environment. A product can be one without the other.
Because the two are often conflated in marketing, the question to ask is specific: which standard, tested on which finished construction, and does the certificate cover the product as supplied rather than a raw fibre.
